I Found My Brother!

Hello Folks. My name is Zane Lander Roberge. I am 8lbs, 8 ounces, and 20 inches long. I am a very relaxed, quiet, and curious man. I LOVE to sleep and get cold easy. Pacifiers relax me but I hate the taste of plastic when it first goes into my mouth. You know what I mean?

I am named after a little boy my parents met on Goose Rocks Beach, the beach that Daddy proposed to Mommy on (I know, Daddy always seems to be making proposals). My middle name is after my great-great grandfather, who was a pretty famous pioneer in the West. Ironically, the well known Western author, Zane Grey, featured my great-grandfather in one of his novels. That’s two ways to get to Zane Lander. Weird, right?

I need to update you all on the last few months. My journey started 9 months ago when I was in pursuit of my long-lost brother, Kai. Little did I know that I found myself in Mommy’s belly.

Now, I know my brother’s scent from anywhere and I knew he had been here not long before me. However, after checking every nook and cranny, he was nowhere to be found.

Everything changed around 1:30 PM on February 19, when I got a huge break in the investigation. A light appeared at the end of a tunnel that I had explored previously. I hurried toward it and at 4:43 PM, I found my family! I knew my reunion with Kai was coming soon.

First, I met my Mommy and Daddy. "I love you Mommy. Thanks so much for making me so healthy. Have you seen Kai?", I said.

"You’re welcome my little Zane", said Mommy. "Kai will be here soon and cannot wait to see you".

Then I met my Mimi, who was there to greet me into the world. She told me all about the fun things we will do together and told me Kai would be here soon.

Then I met my Tia Heather. She could not believe that I came so quick, and was expecting to help Mommy through labor. She held me tight and told me about my cousin Brooke. She had not seen Kai.

Then I met my GramE and Grampa. GramE sang me nice songs and Grampa let me play with his mustache. Grampa said he saw Kai just before me, but did not know where he went.

Finally the next day, big brother Kai showed up. "Hello Big Little Man", he said. "We have so much to catch up on." And we played the rest of the day in the hospital. He knew all the nurses and found a package of Giorgio Armani diapers for me. How can I ever go back to Huggies?

I returned home the next day. We had a nice family weekend together and I got to practice many new things. First, I stretched out.

Then, I spoke into a pretend microphone and waved to the crowd.

Then I did some dancing with Daddy.

Then Kai showed me his rattle.

Then I practiced my "YUCKIE" face.

Then I did some boxing.

Kai even had a chance to work on his babysitting skills. At this pace, it looks like I may be doing the babysitting around here.

Anyway, I am SO glad I finally found him. I do not know about you, but I am pooped.

Love,

Zane
